Across the pool

Suzy and Ray had recently purchased their stunning, heritage-listed property when they reached out to ShadeSpot™ for a retractable shade sail. Suzy’s idea was to have the sail cover the shallow end of the pool and sitting area without obstructing the view from the house.

Suzy hired a local builder who followed our design brief and installed the columns, including removing pavers, cutting the slab, and setting the posts at a 2° angle. Ray and a friend then used ShadeSpot’s installation kit and videos to assemble and hang the WaveSail™.

They chose the widest possible fixed sail, (LxW), 6.6m x 6.05m, in Lexicon Quarter. Suzy had her metal fabricator powder coat the stacking structures in 'off-white' to match the fabric, while the extending structures were done in Woodland Grey® to disappear into the garden. The fabricator followed our design brief and delivered the posts.
