More time in the pool

Glen and Lauren recently built their dream home in sunny Mulwala NSW, just outside Yarrawonga. Their deck looks out to their newly installed swimming pool. With two young boys, they worried that the kid's skin was protected when swimming. Glen describes having considered many alternative pool shade options, even having assembled and disassembled a marquee, attempting to replicate an over pool shade sail.

Both Glen and Lauren describe the WaveSail™ as meets their needs, allowing them to put the shade sail over their entire pool in seconds. They're using the pool for more quick swims, particularly now that they can skip the 20 minutes battles with the kids over sun protection before getting in.

Having selected posts (columns) for ease of installation, the ShadeSpot™ engineers provided the plans for Glen to hire his home builder to install the columns. Their Windspray® floating sail cover most of their pool area (LxW) 10.6m x 4.85m. The structures were installed outside of the pool area/slab (900mm clearance from the pool fence for 'non-climbable zone'), so they preferred a floating sail (see 'how it all works' video).
