Squires Winery

Squires Winery recently completed the construction of a large deck area at their stunning riverside venue. During summer, the deck was becoming unbearably hot. Tired of moving and repairing umbrellas, Paul was looking for a shade solution that would still allow him to take advantage of the sunshine during winter months.

The result is two stylish, easy-to-use shade sails that can be extended in summer and retracted in winter. Paul describes positive feedback from customers, and relief from everyone in the summer months, as they enjoy all that the winery has to offer. Squires Winery now has a simple to operate shade solution that provides shade in summer and sun in winter. Making their riverside deck even more desirable for their customers.

Two parallel WaveSails™ in Western Myall®, each measuring (LxW) 5m x 5.6m, divide the deck into three sections. The building walls were reinforced to handle the cable forces. Our engineers specified the column specs and Paul opted for a galvanised finish, complimenting the colour and materials used in the existing building. These columns providing robust support for the shade sails.
